The 2016 California Rodeo Salinas will take place over four days in July with evening performances on Thursday & Friday July 21st and 22nd and day time performances on Saturday & Sunday July 23rd and 24th.
The Thursday July 21st performance kicks off with the presentation fo Miss California Rodeo Salinas 2016 as well as Wrangler's Tough Enough to Wear Pink Night!
The Friday July 22nd performance includes a produce mascot race as part of Fight Hunger Night. Company mascots race down our track-be on the lookout for lettuce, artichokes and more!
The Saturday July 23rd performance includes a salute to military as part of the Wrangler National Patriot Program and Active Milirary as well as Veterans with ID card receive free admissionas. Enjoy the sunshine with the 1pm start time of Rodeo action and more!
The Sunday July 24th performance is the Day of Champions!
The California Rodeo Salinas is one of the top 20 regular season rodeos in the US and draws over 700 of the best cowboys and cowgirls across America to compete for almost $400,000 in prize money and the coveted gold and silver Salinas belt buckle. This annual event also draws over 50,000 fans to the Salinas Sports Complex each year to see action-packed rodeo events such as bull riding, team roping, steer wrestling, saddle bronc riding and more. The track that surrounds the arena is also full of action, including horse races, specialty performances, barrel racing, mutton busting and several other crowd-pleasing events. It is truly a unique event.
